Making Green Tea
Although I'm not a fan of green tea it sure is interesting to watch it being made.
Fountain of Youth
I'm not really sure what they said except "Splash it on your face, arms, and legs".
10 Weddings
Chinese people have a very different take on weddings that we do in the western. The first major difference is that they are injecting a *lot* of western style into the traditional eastern wedding. Dresses are now more traditional western white than traditional eastern red and the ceremonies are more church-ish than, again, traditional. It doesn't, however, stop them from doing the traditions of the past. During our recent trip to Hangzhou we ran across several weddings performing the "Traditional" customs en-masse.
Dragon Well Tea Fields
While in Hangzhou we snuck around the Dragon well tea fields. I have to say it was actually pretty cool and it did make me want to drink more tea. You should see our tea cabinet now, its quite full, oh hey, by the way, we have a tea cabinet. Isn't that crazy?
Shanghai South Train Station
While in Shanghai last we took a trip down to Hangzhou leaving from Shanghai South train station. The station reminds me of an alien spaceship, not that I've been on one or have anything to compare it to but still.. really its like an alien spaceship.
Hong Kong Dragon Candy
This is the infamous Dragon Beard Candy that is made throughout Hong Kong, although its not as prolific as some blogs make it out to be. Its made, its just not made everywhere.
yes.. its good.
Hong Kong Bun Festival
A few weeks ago Diana and I headed down to Hong Kong to check out the sites, again, as well as to visit with relatives. While in Hong Kong we headed over to the Island of Cheung Chau to check out the Bun festival . You should read up on the bun festival or watch the video ;)
Snack Place Beijing
A while back Diana and I went for lunch at a local Beijing snack cafeteria. I took my camera along ;)
