What I do

I specialize in the technologies that make the web work in hardware, software and personal form. As a hardware geek I specialize in Apache, MySql/Postgres on Linux. As a developer I use PHP on the Drupal platform for custom site and module development. The web is made up of people and I never stop extending my network to match skilled people with the right companies or projects.

Emfield gets tudou.com support

While sitting and listening to the Drupal in China session at the Boston DrupalCon Aaron Winborn, creator of the emfield module, added support for the Chinese video sharing site tudou.com. Support was added in about 30 minutes demonstrating how easy it is to extend the functionality of the emfield and of Drupal.

Drupal China gets Embedded Media Field!

This was a great panel, by the way, and I want to encourage people to take a look at what you and others are doing as ambassadors of Drupal to China (and the other way around). It was fun writing the support for tudou. I thought the translation would be a problem, but it turned out to be a piece of cake -- I wrote the thing without knowing a word of Chinese. It's an exciting thing, that the medium of the Internet can in itself be a bridge between cultures and languages.
